Adelbert der Hand
Deputy Knight of the Order of the Red Maple and leader of the Hand of the Labyrinth, Adelbert der Hand (Imperial Wythian: of the Hand) was a Wythian man who served the Empire and the Imperial Family between 54 and 62 AU. Climbing up the ladder of both organizations, Adelbert was entrusted with great responsibility, and he was known to have conducted himself with honour and respect. There is even a mural inside the Order of the Red Maple's headquarters depicting Adelbert next to Emperor Friedrich Wythe as he gave out titles to nobles. Unfortunately, Adelbert is something of a sore subject for the Order of the Red Maple, due to the rumours that he was a secret lover of the son and heir to the true Imperial Family. The scandal was never proven, but Adelbert's enemies schemed in the shadows, and used this opportunity to slander him, saying that he was endangering the future of the Imperial family. Soon after, there was an assassination attempt on the Emperor whom Adelbert was protecting, but he was killed while protecting the Emperor. To the public, it looked like an assassination on the Emperor, but the Order of the Red Maple and the Hand of the Labyrinth both blamed each other which led to their great schism.
