Szarkir
Half-Szarkai
Szarkir are the next step in evolution from the ancient Aiwan and Szarkai. They often take offense to being called “half-drow” or even “half-szarkai”, the Szarkir see themselves as their own people and the successors to both Aiwan and Szarkai bloodlines.
While they sought to establish themselves as one people throughout the Starkened Night, they did so behind the banner of their representative Nascent, Yozen First Shadow. With his leadership there was a ruthless and calculated regime dedicated to eliminating targets in silence and leaving no one untouchable.
In modern day, the Szarkir are still largely living in their enclaves, many in Songuk but others in subterranean spaces off the grid. Their ancestors made many enemies among many people and often that vengeance is visited to innocents unless their people look out for their own.
Stark white hair, gleaming crimson eyes, and fair complexions mark Szarkir heritage along with subtle sloping points of the ears and telltale elven gifts of physical beauty. In some cases, the Szarkir can easily pass as a typical half-quessir or even a demi.
There is still a large number of Szarkir whose features are so sublte, their heritage so removed from its origin, that until after puberty they don't realize they're not smply demi.
