Gachari (gäˈchä rē or Gah-CHAH-ree)
Gachari are cousin to Gansang and proud of it. The hero of the Songuk, Tai Guk Song, was their first ruler. The Gachari formed as the legendary three brothers went their separate ways. Tai Guk Song, Tai Yum Gi, and Tai Dang Yan.
While their tale of woe, betrayal and triumph is well known by historians, the simplest facts are thus:
- The three were the heroes of what is now known as Songuk and were deciding how the forming nation should be lead.
- In a heated disagreement, Yan killed Gi and moved in a panic to try and assassinate Song.
- Song escaped the assassination, rallied his men, and chased his sworn brother into the west.

Gachar is very similar to Gansang but has been influenced by the very accurate and descriptive Thule. While the alphabet is almost exactly the Gansang alphabet, the language has developed several nuances and complexities that bring it into its own.Native Gachari(cradle) counts as Broken Gansang(cradle).

From Gansang - A short alphabet with a small library of marks which indicate "adjective sounds" such as the shortening of a vowel or combining of two adjacent words. - The language is very simple but can be used in complex ways, but it's very difficult to learn if you don't have exposure to locals to use it "live".
Dialects Cradle - The origin dialect of Gachari, mostly learned in Geum or nearby. Road - The dialect of Gachari found most outside of the western Cradle region and among frequent travellers. Royal - The dialect learned among nobility and those close to the monarchy or very wealthy cities.

The Yandang are a splinter culture between Gansang and Gachari primarily seeing themselves as the true owners of both lands of Songuk and Geum. While most see their ilk as simply bandits, raiders, and radicals, but there are many rumblings among their people that they are the true descendants of Tai Guk Song and that the royalty that formed in Geum are charlatans and usurpers. Regardless of this, they are disorganized and much of their rebellious acts manifest as destroying caravans moving along Heaven's Road and kidnapping children to grow their numbers.Culture Ability:
Even the meekest of Gachari seem to be able to tap into a well of bravery and skill that they may have never been shown to possess before. The sprit of Tai Guk Song dwells within all Gachari. The Gachari can, once per week as an immediate action, channel the bravery and tenacity of Tai Guk Song and ignore penalties to attack rolls or physical score-related skill checks related to their ability (such as non-proficiency, negative ability mods, negative conditions, etc). Until the next time the Gachari sleeps, they have a +2 bonus to saves against fear.Common Superstitions:
- Family members should not split to walk around obstacles but should cross on the same side.
- Splitting the pole can result in ill omen.
- Dogs are good luck.
- Marriages, once decided on should be made public quickly. Keeping them secret invites misfortune.
- It is bad luck to let fruit expire. Dark fae live in spoiled fruit.
