Inquisitors of Arcana are trained to hunt those who steal the research or knowledge of others. Arcana detests those who cannot work hard and obtain their own magical skill, and insures that any thieves meet gruesome fates.

Features
1st Level
Edict of Arcana... Whenever you make a sneak attack roll at an enemy, you may expend a spell slot to increase the number of d6 by the level of the spell.
Paladin-ish... You may use up to 2 spells from the 5e paladin spell list when selecting your spells.
2nd Level
Magic Watcher... If an enemy you can see attempts to dispel or counter a spell, you may use your reaction to impose disadvantage on that roll. Alternatively, you may use a reaction and a Channel Divinity to force them to fail.
3rd Level
Cunning action: Cast a spell... As a bonus action, you may cast a spell of the 1st or 2nd level. At character level 15, you may use this to cast 3rd level spells as well.
4th Level
Magical Evasion... Whenever you make a saving throw against a damaging spell of a magic type you are proficient with, you take no damage on a successful save, and half on a failure.
5th Level
One with the Leylines... After a long rest, you may select a classification of magic. Skill checks you make to identify and track this magic are made at advantage. Spells you cast of this classification have your Channel Divinity applied to them at no cost. You have advantage when attempting to dispel or counter spells of this type.
In addition, Once per short rest, you may cast a spell of this type using your cunning action, even if the spell is higher than 3rd level.
