Tazrix (TAZ-ricks)

the Fair, the Pale Lady, Mother of Monsters, Mother of Exiles

Divine Domains

Tazrix is the god of travel, desperation, family, legacy, the Pale, unkith, winter, and second chances. Additionally she is said to be the patron god of vampires and demons but any member of Tazrix’s clergy would be eager to correct this misconception.

Tenets of Faith

Unlike most other faiths in Harrow, Tazrix has a rather strict orthodoxy owing to the founding of the Church of Tazrix in Od Pholix. The church's influence, particularly the charisma and diplomatic chops of Pope Zaphrina I, have lead to a strong observance of tenets and rituals in all places where Tazrix is revered. A comprehensive list of the tenets and rituals the church enforces can be found in the titular article.

Holidays

In Od Pholix, where worship of Tazrix is strongest, there's a month-long festival that serves to remind all of the difficult path that Tazrix and her people traveled to make it to Harrow. During this time, the most faithful spend entire nights in the Marrow Cathedral in worship. Clergy observe a fasting period, from dusk until dawn. On the very last day of this festival, the faithful open every door and window in their homes and cook massive feasts. It's considered very normal to walk into strangers homes to eat and be merry with them on this day.

On Alignment

Though my tables will never observe strict alignment adherence, there are those who find knowing what alignments are common among a god's followers can be useful for roleplaying a faithful. Tazrix worshipers tend towards the neutral and good ends of the spectrum but she is a rather accepting deity.

Children of the Pale Lady

Like her fellow ethereal gods, Tazrix marks certain people in the wombs of humans to be born as godlike. Her godlike, unlike others, look no different from a normal human though. They are Vampyres born of the new world. They have all the advantages and disadvantages that come with that in addition to a magical disposition. Perfect for clerics of the Peace, Twilight, Light, and Life domains.
