Civilization and Culture

History

Found almost exclusively in the Wend and the Frozen Tier, these people are tough with tightly-knit communities. The ka'ru and the boreal dwarves have an intertwined history going back to before the founding of Vaylia.
Ka'ru culture is one of extreme pride and diligence. Promises are meant to be kept, indeed breaking one can and has resulted in ostracism from the tribe. Such a fate in the Wend is a near assured death. Strength is valued but physical strength alone is never enough. Ka'ru are all too aware of their size, especially compared to their dwarven companions who, while formidable in their own right, do rely on them for protection and could easily be crushed under foot. Ka'ru culture sees restraint and patience as a sign of strength while brute force or roars to be behavior unbecoming their people.
