Ered Tîr-Menel

On the northern banks of Lake Direna there lies an old stone wharf, long forgotten, collapsing, and cracked with age. Making landing at this wharf one can see the faint outline of a trail leading north. The trail leads towards Mount Somet in the Felsha Mountains. The path is narrow, winding and treacherous, some parts erased by rockslides. It switches back on itself many times, but ever upwards towards the peak of Mount Somet. Before the summit is a small alpine landing. It is a barren, rocky, and wind swept place, with little vegetation. However, this is a strange and wonderous place.   On the plain are erected twelve large menhir arranged in a circular pattern. There is an inner ring of thirty spherical stones all of them grey except two one is a whitish grey and the other is a blackish grey, these stones are located equidistant and opposite from each other.   Near the center of the two rings are four dolmens, those appear to align equally with one of the twelve outer stones. In the center of the ring of dolmens resting upon a plinth is a huge stone basin of carved blue marble.   A short walk from the henge are round structures, made of flat stones piled atop one another in the shape of a beehive.  These houses are about twenty feet in diamter and twelve feet high and have a trapazoidal entry way on one side, with two short ascending stairs.  The floor of the structure consists of flag stones aranged in repeating geometric patterns.  There is a wide stone bench approximately three feet deep that goes around the interior of the structure. In the center, underneath an occulus is what appears to be round stone trough, with holes in the bottom.  The troughs look like braziers.
