Nebrem, a manor of 1450 acres, benefits from its position near the Kald River for its pleasant pastures and verdant woodland. Sir Turphet, a knight who will be 100 at his next birthday, has outlived three wives, all his children save for one daughter, and several of his grandchildren. His heir is his 22 year old great-grandson and namesake, who is presently seeking a wife from amongst the eligible ladies of the shire.
