Sykaif Blade

The legendary Sykaif Blades are crafted only at Bedenes by the mamaka priest-artificers of the Mamaka Master of Steel and 'The Mamekan,' a mysterious man said to be a direct descendant of the Holy Smith. These rare and potent weapons, called Sykaif Blades, are fashioned of uniquely patterned blue steel.
These legendary blades are crafted at Castle of Benedes by the Mamekan in a painful ceremony. Embedded in every blade's pommel is a piece of flawless cherry amber called an “Ember of Ak-Syt.” The soul of the wielder and the blade are magically bound, greatly empowering the weapon. If the wielder dies, his soul remains in the blade, requiring a ceremony to release it to proceed to an afterlife at Balgashang to work in the smithy of Mamaka.
These powerful, uniquely patterned blue steel have a piece of flawless cherry Amber embedded in their pommel. After a painful blood ritual performed by the Priests of the Order of Mamaka, the Knight's soul is bonded with this weapon. After his death, his soul is stored in the amber gemstone until released to the afterlife in a solemn ritual. The Order of Mameka will go to any lengths to recover lost blades.
The Sykaif are either of masterwork (+1 to hit) or legendary (+2 to hit) Quality; however, after bonding with a warrior, they become magical greatswords (+1 to hit/dmg, or +2 to hit dmg), and the weilder can use the Searing Smite spell once per point of proficiency bonus. Once bonded, these weapons will be cursed in the hands of anyone else, and any attacks made with it will be at Disadvantage.
