2025-02-08 Fisen Siege is Broken
General Summary
Harrison is found skulking around suspiciously, but nothing seems to come of it.
Also, both the unnamed elven ambassador of the Elven Order and Gruvin Houndsblud, ambassador of the Dwarven Order have both been rebuked by Geoff . Gruvin stays, hoping to persuade Geoff to accept the ancient dwarven ways.
The elf storms off and plots with king-wanna-be Maldan Harabor. As his army begins to surround Fisen Keep, a trap is set. The elf is disguised as Maldan along with four summoned witch women lying in wait. After the trap is sprung, Maldan himself sweeps in to help in the fighting. The party quickly and quietly overwhelms the would-be trappers, gather some loot and some intel ans sprint back to the keep. Keisa gets caught behind enemy lines but is able to re-enter the keep somehow through the locked gate.
The Dragonborn of Ilme Swamp arrive via the teleportation circle in Fisen Underhall. They are not used for fighting, but they do help push the negotiations towards a quick peace. While only in town for a couple of days, in a town that is already overcrowded, the citizens are intrigued and welcoming to their new reptilian allies. The dragonborn hopeful and supportive of Hapi's establishment of Hopiville in Ilme Swamp near the connection point to the teleportation circle.
During the aftermath of Maldan's failed ambush, Hapi and Medos negotiate with Maldan's son Richie. Negotiations stall until the widow Mellisandra Harabor shows up and closes the peace deal. (does she have romantic sites on Geoff?)
The siege is lifted. The fighting ends. The Harabor's pay weregild prices for those killed/maimed in the short war. Oberon generously doubles the weregild payment from the Fisen coffers and also grants a Manor in the Fisen outlands to the Harabors so that they can keep face while surrendering.
Meanwhile, It was brought to our attention that the warehouse next to Geoff's church has some strange late night activities. Oberon managed to follow Gruvin, the Dwarven Acolyte, to the warehouse where he met secretly with 3 other white-hooded men. The warehouse itself is basically a large food pantry with food starting to spoil.
Hopi is starting a fishing village called Hopiville). With alligator troopers and fishermen, Dragonborn guides and hunters to help train, feed and pay people. Hopi will buy the food for his village. 200gp per season to sustain population, with the first season paid by Hopi. 1 Season is 90 days. Hopi will need to see if the settlement is popular and self-sustaining in season 2. $5400 worth of food to be paid back to merchants (future feed).
Keisa, met with Snakesworth and learned that the Thieves' Guild hasn't been taking contracts. Hopi left with Keisa to investigate the dead drop. Hopi held the rope while Keisa climbed down the well to find 6 bags of treasures with contracts to be fulfilled. Keisa took all and decided to delegate to the most competent of thieves to carry out, less 20%. An easy $110 for Keisa. All but one contract was fulfilled successfully but one, kidnapping an elven child. Oberon took over the contract and the previous thief was put on probation and his next 4 contracts must be completed for free. Keisa paid Snakesworth for the information and told him to round up the Thieves Guild members to meet at the bell tower to decide a new leader.
