Vandryll Silverblood
Name: Vandryll Silverblood
Nicknames: Van, if you’re close to him
Age: Adult
Class: Paladin
Race: Sin’dorei
Homeland: Quel’thalas
Current Residence: A small farm outside Silvermoon
Occupation: Formerly a guard, then a Blood Knight. Closer to a mercenary now, though his loyalty is still to Silvermoon first. He also does a lot of magical research, though not in any official capacity.
Language: Primarily Thalassian. His orcish is passable, but not fantastic
Height: Average(for a Sin'dorei, at least)
Eyes: Golden
Appearance: Vandryll looks very similar to any other blood elf, if we’re being honest. He's far bulkier than many other Sin'dorei, due to their reliance on magic exclusively, but beyond that, he’s mostly unremarkable, especially when he's covered in plate armor. Well, I suppose that's worth remarking on, because he is absolutely covered in armor. Beneath the armor, however, he's covered in scars.
Relationship status: Widowed (well, it's complicated)
Background Overview(aka the tl;dr version)
Vandryll was a guardsman who has never forgiven himself for a cowardly act, an act which led to his family's death (or at least he blames himself). He sought the power of the light in order to avenge his family and protect everyone else.
Vandryll's brother, Valcerian, was also a city guard. Valcerian has never forgiven Vandryll either. In order to strike back against the ones who destroyed their city and the lives of their family, he sought power in darkness, and became a demon hunter.
Vandryll's wife, Leandra, was raised as a Death Knight, and the two reunited at Icecrown. It was here that Vandryll learned of the "Endless Hunger", and that the atrocities Leandra had committed because of it would preclude them ever going back to the way things were.
Vandryll has spent his time since Icecrown seeking a way to save Leandra, and possibly even all Death Knights, from their curse. Perhaps even restoring them to life.
Valcerian, Leandra, and Vandryll reunited when the Burning Legion returned, and fought alongside one another. After the invasion was pushed back, Sargeras was imprisoned and Azeroth was safe once more, Vandryll retired to a small farm in Eversong, where he lived with Leandra, who hoped maybe she could return to a normal-ish life, and with Valcerian, having destroyed the demons he had trained to hunt. However, this arrangement was short-lived. But the endless hunger still affected her, and the outbreak of the fourth war saw both Valcerian and Leandra depart to the front lines to sate their respective bloodlusts. He would later join them on the front lines, despite his misgivings about potentially fighting his former allies from the Silver Hand.
During the Fourth War, Vandryll disappeared, and he didn't reappear for a number of years. Now, he has come to the Dragon Isles, hoping that if he can help the Aspects reclaim their powers, then they will be able to help his family.
