Valcerian Felblood
The Mad Dog of Mardum
This bio should be read as if it's a report filled out by Vandryll, written out shortly before Valcerian is recruited to the Hand of Algalon. That makes Vandryll's bio prerequisite reading. Valcerian would be greatly diminished if there were an accessible "objective truth" about him. Hopefully this format is ok
Name: Valcerian Felblood
Age: Adult
Class: Illidari Demon Hunter
Race: Sin’dorei
Homeland: Quel’thalas
Current Residence: Unknown, if any
Occupation: Possibly a fugitive; unlikely to be anything else due to his... disposition
Language: Assume Thalassian, though he'll speak whatever he wants whenever he wants
Height: Slightly below average for a Sin'dorei
Eyes: Felfire glows where his eyes once were
Appearance: Covered in Illidari tattoos and scars
Relationship status: Single
Personality: Valcerian lies and misleads as easily as he breathes. The veneer of insanity, and the label of "Mad Dog", both serve to disguise just how manipulative and calculating Valcerian truly is. Valcerian's many quirks serve to unnerve and annoy whoever he's dealing with at any given point in time. Keep a level head and a clear, rational mind and you'll be safe. Valcerian craves battle, not just as a means to an end but as a sport in itself. It is not entirely clear that he respects strength, but he will pretend he does up until the moment he stabs you in the back. Mak'gora and other forms of ritual combat are not recommended when dealing with him; he cannot be trusted to honor the result. Valcerian is not evil, at least not in the traditional sense, though he is certainly not good. He is an extremist of the "Ends justify the means" variety, but, in my experience, he typically wants good things to happen. He benefits from the perception that he is unstable, uncontrollable, and malignant, but historically, he has been interested in doing good, such as his behavior during the legion invasion. As long as he has the reputation of insanity and of causing Havoc, his enemies will not think he can be threatened or persuaded in the way that one might attempt to threaten or persuade someone with a noble heart. He is, in many ways, like Illidan Stormrage himself. Background: (see Vandryll's bio for a little more background on pre-BfA activities) There is almost no documentation of Valcerian's activities after the Fourth War. What documentation does exist indicates that the Horde sent out a small contingent of spies to locate and capture him. It is possible that they were successful; perhaps he has served his sentence, or perhaps my return to the front lines led to his sentence being commuted. It is equally likely that he was imprisoned by another force and that one day he decided to stop being imprisoned, likely killing all his captors. Of course, if he was not detained during that time, then his activities during the period between the Fourth War and now are known only to him. The exact timing of his reappearance cannot be pinpointed, as he remained difficult to track for a period. I became aware of his reappearance when an old acquaintance of mine contacted me. This acquaintance is a citizen of Suramar, which is where he encountered Valcerian. I suspect this means that Valcerian is focusing on tracking me down. This was a few days ago, so I suspect his reappearance is also connected to Xal'atath's return, and the Radiant Song. Final Thoughts: Valcerian is extremely dangerous. Having given a series of reasons why he should not be trusted, or should be detained, I now reiterate my previously stated position that he should be approached or detained and invited into the Hand of Algalon. I will personally vouch for his character. Also, I can control him, or restrain him if need be, and it will be easier to do so when he is involved with the Hand. - Vandryll Silverblood (edited)
