Physical Description:

Sir Rowan Adelard is a young adult man, standing at a height of 5'11" with gray eyes and wavy black hair. He keeps his hair mostly short, though his bangs are long, pushed over to one side in a quiff. He is lean, athletic but not bulky. Rowan's cheekbones and jaw are rather pronounced.

Personality:

Most who know Sir Rowan know of him as carefree and whimsical, if not a little impulsive. Rowan likes to crack jokes, oftentimes amusing himself more than his friends. He believes himself to be quite charming and endearing. His charisma has opened many doors in the past, but as it is with anything, his "charisma" can be quite subjective depending on the person.

• Sir Rowan Adelard has been an active alliance front-liner in nearly ever major conflict since the Cataclysm, though he was mostly inactive during the war in Pandaria. If you've been on the front lines, you've probably ran into him at least once or twice.,
• Members of the Alliance's military, especially Stormwind's, may know him by his reputation as "The Knight Who Fears Promotions More Than Death." He's infamous for being an incredibly competent soldier whose talents are suited for a special unit like the 7th Legion. In spite of this, he has somehow managed to avoid reassignments and promotions throughout his long military career. He has opted to remain a front-line grunt instead of moving up the ranks.,
• Sir Rowan is an SI:7 operative and an agent of the Uncrowned. While there are rumors circulating about him, his affiliation to these syndicates is mostly unknown to those outside of them. It helps that he has a rather public persona as a knight, not a thief or assassin.,
• Rowan makes and maintains his own weapons, he loves talking about them!

Background:

Sir Rowan Adelard was born in the year 608 in the King's Calendar. He is one of several children to House Adelard, a minor noble house of Stormwind whose power has been on the decline for years He took up smithing as a hobby when he was young, and he entered the Stormwind Knighthood at the age of 18. While most of his fellow soldiers thought the youth would be dead weight and a waste of Alliance tax money, Rowan was not only motivated and patriotic - he had the kind of luck that would turn a red dragon green.

Sir Rowan was part of the envoy sent West aboard the Briny Cutter during the early events of the Cataclysm, and when the ship was wrecked in Vashj'ir by a kraken, he went above and beyond the call of duty. He survived the wreck, helped save his comrades, and joined the Earthen Ring in fighting against Ozumat and the Naga.

Sir Rowan returned to Stormwind with honors after these events. His performance in Vashj'ir dashed any doubts his allies had of his skill and dedication. When Deathwing finally was defeated, Sir Rowan ended up assisting the SI:7 with a covert mission, and it resulted in him eventually joining SI:7 as an agent. He maintained his public persona as a knight, going on several missions as specialty backup for Stormwind's covert ops. While he was able to learn to sneak and pick locks, the stealthy approach to combat didn't suit him.

While Sir Rowan had little activity in Pandaria, he was one of many knights who were called to Lunarfall during the invasion of Draenor. In fact, he has been a front line combatant in nearly every major conflict ever since. Time and time again he would prove himself far above his peers in skill, and time and time again he would decline promotions and avoid reassignments to higher ranking units like the 7th Legion. During the Legion's invasion of the Broken Shore, Sir Rowan joined the Uncrowned as an agent, serving now three militaristic roles. He's a busy man, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
