History:

Little is remembered of Maur's past prior to the corruption of the Scourge. Born in Mulgore prior to the Third War, he joined the Argent Dawn as a fresh recruit to battle the Scourge and bring honor to his clan and to the Tauren.

His last major fight was with the Shattered Sun Offensive. Finding solace in both Alliance and Horde, he honed his skills and fought many demons while keeping Kil'Jaden from entering the world fully. When the assignment was done, he returned via the Plaguelands. Ambushed by the undead and try as he might, he was slain in cold blood. Brought back to life as a fearsome Death Knight, his primary goal was to kill in the name of the Lich King.

When the Death Knights were freed from Arthas, he reestablished his allegiance to the Horde, but despite the deep thirst for blood and torment, his desire to bring some justice to the world which gave him another chance. He gave up the mantle as a member of the Horde and ventured north to Northrend, to join the Knights of the Ebon Blade in their quest to bring Arthas down.

Once Arthas was defeated, he stayed in Northrend with the small regiment of other Ebon Blades, keeping guard over the frozen wastes where he could inflict the pain his curse required without having to fallen the innocent like he once did.

More recently duty was brought back to him and he returned from Northrend. Having paid his respects to his ancestral lands within Mulgore, he wanted to find purpose in his existence again. After much searching he found himself obtaining within a clan of relic seekers wishing to protect the world from the most dangerous of items. Along his journey he came to be the Runebearer of Kindness. An opposite of his Death Knight nature, he wields it to bring compassion, but when needed a merciful blade to those who need it.

Offering his blade and hoof in guardianship to those he cares for most the future has become open to new adventures."
