Kwyn Duskmourne
prot paladin, runebearer of scales. Age: about 300 Blonde hair, green eyes. Normally wears green goggles.
Kwyn Duskmourne was born to a prominent merchant family in Silvermoon City, the elder of two girls. As she reached adulthood her desire was for a position with the Home Guard there, rather than concentrating on learning the family business. With that in mind she trained as a paladin and achieved the position of captain in the Home Guard, a position she held for an extended time.
She lived this life in contentment for more than two centuries, guarding not only the city itself but also spending time working with some of the noble families, including the prominent Northwind family. But invasion of Silvermoon by Arthas and the Scourge changed everything. While her sister, Keelani, stayed with their parents to defend their home, Kwyn fought on the home front against the invading horde. That is, until she received horrifying news. Her sister had fallen to the horde and been resurrected as a death knight under Arthas, her parents and many of her relatives had died, and her city was under seige.
Once the Scourge was defeated and the Sunwell reclaimed she returned to her home, and to the fury of her people over the massacre of her people. She resumed her relationship with the Northwind family, including guarding the family's young daughter and heir, Neriren. She also took over the management of her family's business in this time, managing the family's vast network of cargo ships and merchant shops spread over the whole of the Horde's territories.
This would probably have continued to this day but for an unexpected occurrance: Keelani, broken free from her domination by Arthas at his defeat and death, returns to Silvermoon. The locals, her family, and particularly Kwyn, are horrified. Arthas's death knights had been responsible for thousands of deaths among the elves, and now here was this lost loved one, returned in a monstrous form. She was quickly driven off. But the incident broke something in Kwyn. Seeing the sister she'd loved returned and rejected, in a form she could not accept, turned her home into a place she could no longer bear to be in.
She left Silvermoon and hired herself out as a mercenary, in various places and under various flags. She fought the Iron Horde in Draenor, then fought the Legion in the Broken Isles. She fought against the Alliance in the Battle for Azeroth, then against the Jailor's minions in the Shadowlands. But she couldn't find what she sought - peace. Or a place she could call home. Then she met Sswatchto Thundler, the leader of the guild called Hand of Algalon.
