BACKGROUND Gidayo was a young hunter and brave-in-training when the Horde and Alliance arrived on Kalimdor to fight the Scourge and Legion. He, his pets (the bear Honaw, and cat Luna) and two other braves were captured by Centaur outside the Barrens. His pets were killed right away by the captors and eaten. Left in a cage for days, Gidayo heard a commotion, and saw fireballs descending from the sky. The centaur were falling left and right, them and their crude buildings being burned to ash. Out of the smoke, a lone Elf appeared. He agreed to free the captured Tauren, if Gidayo would allow an experiment to happen on him. Gidayo agreed, having nothing to lose with the death of his friends and family. The Elf teleported them both to an altar in the mountains of The Barrens. The elf pulled the souls of Gidayo’s dead pets out of the Shadowlands and through the Nether, and rested them inside of Gidayo’s body.
The Elf smiled and disappeared. Now Gidayo’s pets’ souls were one with him. He took to training along with many other Tauren under Hamuul Runetotem, to learn shapeshifting and turn into his pets. After years of practice, now the three work as one, fighting the evils of the world, protecting the wild from any who would seek to harm it.
