Stadtpark

The City Park is Hamburg's green lung. It is the central meeting place for all Hamburgers, especially on warm days. On the large lawns, people grill, drink, listen to loud music, or simply lie in the sun. Next to the lawns, there is an open-air stage that can be used for concerts year-round. Twice a year, at the beginning of spring and fall, the Hamburg Young Talent Festival, sponsored by DeMeKo, takes place here, where up-and-coming artists on the verge of a breakthrough can secure contracts with various music labels. Also located in the Stadtpark is the Hamburg Planetarium, which, in addition to a small astronomy museum, offers a venue for various AR and VR-supported shows. There are also several sports fields, cafés, and restaurants. The park is maintained by the Hamburg Tourism Association.
