The Enochian ward

The Enochian Ward is a barrier placed around Halruaal by the Gods during the Age of Ascension. The ward itself blocks most normal and planar travel between Halruaal and the outside world/planes with the condition that the First Archon must sanction such travel.  Some past Archons suspect that it has physically removed Halruaal from the material plane that it was on previously and created a demi-plane functioning under similar laws. However, this has not been confirmed since travel beyond the realm is not possible. Even when House Blackharbour and Hanover arrived during the Age of Expansion, the memories of the outside world was seemingly wiped from their memories.

Manifestation

The Ward manifests as a large harrowing mist that surrounds the edge of the country along the ocean ways.  It forms a complete sphere around Halruaal; above land it is as if a solid wall and in the ocean depths it is a series of powerful currents that prevent travel.

Effect:

essentially this prevents spells like Planar shift, and normally negates summoning spells of outsiders over CR 10.
