The Dream

The Dream is a basic religious concept in Kivish religious traditions. Essentially, the Dream is the illusion of the world, often believed to be contained in the mind of the God-Being named Rumek.
While many teachers and scholars have their ideas of the nature of the Dream, no Kivish sect claims total knowledge of it. Dreams are fundamentally unstable, after all. Reverent Path and Promised Path Kivish see the Dream as being a reflection of the great God Rumek's mind - to the point where Rumek's moods and connection to the faithful can be modified by sufficiently shaping the Dream. Liberated Path and Exalted Path Kivish argue that the Dream is more of a prophetic and mystical thing of fluid meaning - that there is a spiritual quality to its instability. The Truthful Path Kivish, meanwhile, argue that the Dream only exists to be destroyed.
