Nomic Language

The Nomic language is the holy language of the Final Choir of Vetevism, a splinter dialect of which is Nafena's largest trade language. Despite the trade version and religious version being largely intelligible, the two are often framed as wildly different languages by the dominant religious and political powers - one denotes a political allegiance, and the minor differences between the two dialects is exaggerated and politicized beyond all measurable facts. Between the two dialects is a cloud of local dialects that effectively bridge the gap between them.

How to Generate Nomic

Nomic is a smashed up mixture of Japanese and Greek. Generally speaking, if you are going to adopt straight from the base languages, island names gravitate towards Greek while inland names gravitate towards Japanese, but the ideal is an ambiguous mix.
