Gátavǫllr

Roughly translated as the "Riddle Field", Gátavǫllr is a region in Hálfrfold in which the world turns tops turvy, and space seems to fold in on itself. Humans and other animals avoid the area if they can.

Unfortunately, Gátavǫllr moves about, and you can end up trying to go around it and stumble in regardless. Some never return, and are presumably stuck in this otherworldly place or else dead. A lucky few have managed to return, though they usually remain disoriented and vague for the rest of their lives.
