The Dank
Backstory
This idea emerged from the opening of Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, which featured like 10 min of intro cut scenes, captured through a cynical lens. A horrible calamity occurs, and some big red dragon decides the best way to save the unborn Spyro (being the Chosen Purple One for an unexplained reason), is to give it the ol' Baby Moses treatment, and yeet the little snot down the river.
So Spyro washes up in a mushroom swamp, and is adopted by a family of fireflies, who completely neglect his education, and in fact, fail to explain he is not a dragonfly, setting him up for some serious body issues later in life. Spyro spends the first 14 years of his life like this, running around in a dank mushroomy swamp, being reminded every 2 seconds that he sucks, by Sparx -- who is voiced by David Spade. I thought to myself: god, that is the definition of Hell or at least Purgatory. And the only creature that could be happy there, would be a creature who feeds on existential despair.
Here's a pic I drew of a peeve waterboarding a frog. In my defense, I was rather drunk.
