Great Dormition

The Great Dormition is widely considered the culmination of the Sleep Race. It was an especially bloody night in Faldaran history.

On the morning of {date}, the most boastful of the warring practitioners are said to have awoken in an especially grumpy state, and simultaneously sent for assassins to garotte one another that evening. All of these assassinations were successful, resulting in the sudden and simultaneous elimination of the Sleep Race's most bellicose proponents.

The true author of these assassination requests is debated in private. By all evidence, the missives had been drafted, revised, copied, and delivered to the towers of dozens of powerful practitioners with precise timing. In fact, several missives were postmarked days before the Great Dormition. It is rumored, but not substantiated, that Whilom Gramercy arranged them covertly.
