Bombardon

A magically enlarged beetle with a metallic carapace. The barbadon is bred to be round, large, and docile. Bombardons are readily hereded into dense, open-air pens for grazing. Within the herd, bombardons naturally bombinate, producing a characteristic buzzing sound, an effect called bombilation.

When threatened or surprised bombardon is able to fart an obnoxious, sulfurous cloud, which acts as a defense mechanism and a propellant. The barbadon's bulky metallic design, awkward motion, and apparent flatulence are accentuated by the bombardon trumpet sounds it makes.

Barbadons are traditionally farmed by rural dragons, and are considered a traditional dragon food.
