A bribe, a broken promise, a dusty backwater system, a spark, a home, and the only place that matters. Ask 10 people what Halcyon is and you’ll get a hundred answers, some of which might be spoken in blaster fire.   No matter what it is to you, we’re stuck here. The Gate out has been closed too long for me to ever believe it will open again. The way I see it, you’ve got 3 options. Option 1, you run to House Mastrennar, beg them to “civilize” the border worlds and unite us in peaceful harmony under their beneficent gaze like a good little boot polisher. Option 2, you keep your head down, work your long hours, and kid yourself that life is good enough down in the drek. Option 3, you get out there and take the good life for yourself. Find people who want the same and make the worlds shake.   It’s a powder-keg here.
