Vecna, The Undying King

The Undying King

A cruel and twisted creature, Vecna was once a mortal. Grown to immense power as an undying lich, he eventually harnessed enough might to ascend to godhood. Considered an arrogant, egotistical, and ambitious being, the entire nature of Vecna flies in the face of The Raven Queen.
It did not take long for him to join sides with Tharizdun, The Chained Oblivion to try and seize power. Since their defeat, Vecna has been banished and empoisoned into an as of yet unknown layer of the abyss. Weakened at the hands of Helm, The Protector reports of Vecna's influence have been very sparse in recent years, unable to exact much of his will even through his followers, to whom he promises a place at his side in immortality.

Secretive and hunted, his followers share little information outside of their own circles. And information about Vecna is closely guarded or outright destroyed to dissuade more people of circling too close to his influence, weak as it has been in recent years.
What little is known include the tenets for Vecna's followers to adhere to.

• Learn all you can, and keep hidden that which you know. Reveal what pieces you must, but never the whole.
• Express and cultivate the evil within yourself, and in doing so, recognize it in others and exploit them for your own benefit.
• Seed the ruin of all who worship other deities, until only those who kneel before Vecna remain.
