Sprites

Fey that are very closely affiliated with the Court of Faerie (with the exception of the Nyktera) and are one of the most common creatures native to the Unbound Kingdom. Although small they tend to have large personalities and big hearts. They tend to act on their emotions following their passions with zeal. Although all sprites have wings, Sprites born on Terra cannot fly. No one knows why this is exactly but many suspect it has to do with their connection to the Unbound Kingdom. There are tales of Terran Sprites regaining the gift of flight after growing their physical and magical strength to unprecedented proportions. These transformed “Sprite Monarchs” are said to be far mightier than any Unbound Kingdom born Sprite, and are the stuff of legends. Sprite Monarchs are said to infrequently manifest over many generations and if the folk stories are true represent a hypothetical pinnacle of Sprite evolution.
