Session 33
Upon entering the Warped Brew tavern there was a tension in the air as the motley assembly of mostly Morlock patrons turned to stare at the Bravest Braves. After kindly extinguishing the light they made brief conversation with the bartender during which they brought up the name of the band Shadow Malice. Immediately a spark of excitement shot up to the bar as new challengers had come to engage in the Battle of the Bands.
As if summoned Shadow Malice emerged from backstage challenging the Bravest Braves face to face. A challenge which our heroes eagerly accepted. One by one they faced off against bandmembers fueled by Dr. Zips performance enhancing elixers. Eventually they emerged victorious earning the respect of all there to witness including Vischari the tavern's owner. Mrk has an immediate negative reaction to her, and Dr. Zips seems suspicious that her ancestry has some relation to Terra's distant past and the Shori. Placing their suspicions aside for the time being they began to talk with her attempting to arrange an exhibition match between her and the current champion. Hinting that the turnout could be much greater if they eliminated the dire monster lurking to the west. After coming to an arrangement they are led to an old teleportation circle in the back of the kitchens which Garland is able to reactivate.
In the process of securing their exit they noticed several humanoids (a skulk, a drow, and a gnome) hanging from meat hooks seemingly awaiting their turn to be on the menu. Using both persuasion and exquisite cooking talents they are able to convince the cook to trade the captives for some pigs and chickens to serve as meals for the Tavern's clientele. They returned to Odaro to rest and plan for the exhibition match and whatever else Gauntlight might hold.
