Session 32
Exploring to the East the Bravest Braves emerge onto a walkway that is familiar to Lans and Mrk. This time the whole crew takes a moment to marvel at the gigantic hydras that had nearly consumed the Magus from behind the safety of the strange transparent stone. Eventually they spot a hatch to the outside which they elect to leave sealed and a strange glowing rune written in Shori near a section of the wall. Opening it (and noticing that as the rune pulsed so did Mrk) they found themselves in the observation deck the worm creature had previously observed them from and spotted it on the far end of the hall. The creature fled seeming to disappear into a wall, but a keen eye and practiced tracking skills led to them spotting another hidden door rune and enabling the Bravest Braves to give chase. Soon enough our heroes found themselves face to face with two of the aberrations and a host of modified morlock guards.
The battle was fierce with Mrk taking a defensive position and weathering blow after blow from the horde of creatures. The psionic powers of the worms coupled with the onslaught of deadly augmentations wielded by the Morlocks pushing our heroes to call forth mighty magic and clever tactics to leverage all the advantages and tools they had. Sparing their enemy no quarter (especially to a Morlock who got completely incinerated by Lans) eventually the Bravest Braves emerged victorious.
Choosing not to risk spending a great deal of time healing in such a potentially dangerous corridor our heroes kept moving exploring further. Eventually discovering a "Champion's Lounge" where they met with a Skulk named Murschen who they chatted with and received a small bit of information from. He agreed that he would aid the heroes against the hideous behemoth ooze if they would help him out with arranging an exhibition match against Vischari the arena's former champion and current owner of the Warped Brew Tavern. Seeing no reason to spill blood our heroes agreed and set out from the lounge to track her down.
