Session 3
Our heroes prepared to venture further through the room where perhaps long ago a hero took a grevious blast during a titanic battle. In this present time however it is nothing more than a pile of rubble crawling with Mitflits looking for pretty rocks. Moving swiftly our heroes made short work of the surprised Mitflits advancing past a skeletal scarecrow that was unsuccessful at deterring the adventurers. However the heroes were resourceful enough to discover the weapon its inanimate fingers clutched was magical in nature. Moving yet further inward they encountered the leader of the Mitflits a large specimen wearing a crown of driftwood and bugs.
Boss Skrawng accused the heroes of trying to thwart his plans but quickly backpedaled his position when it became apparent the heroes were here for another reason. Mrk protective of his home town glowed red with anger and initiated combat. Boss Skrawng unleashed his secret weapon, his trained attack spider Bite Bite, true to it's name 2 skittering vicious bites are all it took to bring Mrk to the brink of death. Imiq thinking quickly moved Mrk out of harms way before launching an assault on the Mitflits, the group venting the full extent of their fury throughout the battle deciding to spare one Mitflit they decided to name Steve. While Dr, Zips saved Mrk's life, Lan's spells and blades (empowered by Garland) wrought devastation. The battle came to a close when Garland and Lans set up a combo maneuver to execute Boss Skrawng followed by Garrick destroying their Debris Throne and shattering the Mitflit morale.
Before long Steve was the sole survivor (despite several other Mitflits clearly giving up and no longer posing a threat). Garland declared himself the new boss and demanded Steve serve under him and offer which Steve eagerly accepted (perhaps solely to save his own skin). He told Garland of their plan to raise an army of bugs to help them take over the town of Odaro. Steve also shared with Garland that a scary light shines at night and that he and the other Mitflits were driven out from "the below" by "mushroom eyed people". Finally he drew some maps for Garland detailing all that he knew of the layout of Gauntlight. The crew commanded Steve remain at Gauntlight while they return to town to rest and recover and perhaps contemplate the many strange events of the day.
