Session 20
The battle continued to rage as the Bravest Braves pitted themselves against the fangs and claws of Jaul and his pack. The Bravest Braves teetered on the edge of life and death as blows were struck and spells flew. In the end though our heroes were victorious and Arturo with a solemn expression crossed the battlefield to bear witness to the dying lycanthropes last words.
With the hunt finally completed our heroes returned to the surface to collect Jaul's bounty and spend their hard earned treasure on new equipment. Most importantly they were able to detect the corruption of the werewolf's curse had permeated Mrk's core. Unwilling to delay treating the affliction, they embarked on a mission to alter and purify the wolfsbane herb in an effort to give Mrk a better chance of surviving ingesting the deadly herb. In the open streets of a bustling and enthusiastic Odaro there efforts were an absolute success leading Mrk to fire off celebratory laser blasts to some confused but very enthusiastic applause. Lans distributed fish from his latest catch to generate even more goodwill from the townsfolk, while Garland informed the Mayor of all they had learned....who (a little too nervously) expressed total confidence in the ability of the Bravest Braves to solve all of the town's problems. Imiq wrote a letter to his family and Zips did a little bit of observing while drinking at the local taverns.
When the crew finally returned to Gauntlight Lans boldly venturing forth following a familiar spectral light that brilliantly illuminated his mustache with occult energy. He found a skeleton resting atop on a miniature island. Approaching it further they were greeted by the spectral form of Odaro himself but before the ghost could talk with heroes , malevolent apparitions manifested and our heroes found themselves embroiled in battle once more.
