Session 14

As our heroes cleaved through the Ghoulish Cult of the Canker, more of the undead members swarmed at them from the south. Despite their leader flinging potent spells our heroes dispatched them quickly, retaliating with nearly overwhelming force. When the battle had ended the heroes stood once more alone inside what appeared to be a vast library.
Ignoring the grizzlier contents of the Ghoul's recreational reading room they discovered a now deactivated ritualistic teleportation chamber and a few rare and expensive looking books that may be worth money back in Odaro. Moving on they deciding to venture forward based on the signs written in Undercommon to Belcorra's office. Utilizing a key they had recovered from the island workshop they entered only to encounter a strange fey, making dubious notes in the margins of books with a colorful quil. This Fey greeted the adventurers and identified himself as the Editor King. The friendly talks went south when Mrk informed him that they were in fact the Kings here. When he asked the "usurpers" (in his view at least) to leave, battle then commenced!
As the opening rounds of combat took place some of the heroes most devastating attacks failed to land on this strange fey who seemed to blend in with the ambient light of this abnormally bright (for Gauntlight at least) room. Thinking fast our heroes elected to make a tactical retreat heading back the way they came and locking the door behind them. possessions
After a bit more exploration the Bravest Braves elected to explore the Scrivener's office. There they were greeted with a scene of horror. Bloody strips of skins being painstakingly and carefully tattooed by Ghouls as if they were mere strips of parchment. The Scrivener and his undead lackies attacked the heroes immediately, discolored undead muscles rippling and a baleful intelligence gleaming in his eyes as he hurled insults in the midst of this duel to the death.
