Rabbitfolk / Moon Hares

(Use rules for Hobgoblins)
Descended from Rabbit like Fey that were commonly associated with the Wyching Court. These are the Rabbitfolk most often seen on Terra appear to be almost human, apart from the long and sometimes colorful rabbit ears and large nearly white-less eyes. These creatures are known to display traits that are the inverse of what you would commonly expect from rabbits. Brave, fierce, brash, agressive, and competitive. Frequently more comfortable relying on their martial prowess than their other faculties. They are possessed of great vitality causing them to heal, eat, and generally live their lives at a faster pace than humans (although on average elderly Rabbitfolk live to roughly double a human's lifespan). Many Rabbitfolk tend to be impulsive and a tad uninhibited (when not being commanded by their familial superior officers). While omnivorous they greatly prefer a vegetarian diet and have been known to eat truly astounding quantities when their favorite foods are available in abundance.
The Rabbitfolk live in warrens and borrows that follow a strict military order that is utterly chaotic and incomprehensible to someone not born into it. Each day is filled with a multitude of promotions, demotions, reassignments, retirements, and returns. All of this coupled with new groups and factions constantly forming and brokering alliances, treaties, and splintering into sub groups with regular breaks for clan wide Com-Con Ceremonies (Where individuals are awarded various commendations or reviled with condemnations for notable actions during the day). Life in the Warren moves at a dizzying pace and industrious Rabbitfolk are always recruiting other fellows to support them in their latest exploits. Regardless of the chaos, the few times mass organization of the Rabbitholk has been successful, their military machine has been nearly unstoppable. Rabbitolk, when they are united in purpose are a force to be reckoned with and their reputation as fierce and effective warriors are known throughout Terra. Some Rabbitfolk have been known to exhibit an almost supernatural ability to provoke fear in the hearts of their enemies, seemingly able to project the feeling of a small animal cornered by a feral and hungry predator. It is not uncommon for a Rabbitfolk to seek to be adventurers. They are fond of wild tales, heroic friends, and grand adventure. Squadron-Family Units of Rabbitfolk will at times undertake missions to dangerous areas (sometimes on other planes) looking for needy souls to save. Rabbitfolk too old to adventure enjoy training the next generation cozy in the Warren in armor invariably bristling with a lifetime of accolades and medals. Body modification is common and some especially zealous Rabbitfolk will adorn their bodies with elaborate scarification or brand patterns to prove their pain tolerance and toughness. When a Rabbitfolk is approaching death, has suffered irredeemable dishonor, or irreconcilable lament they may choose to embark on the Long Patrol. A fully equipped deep ranging into the most dangerous areas accessible, seeking to slay as many monsters and do as much good as they possibly can before finding a warrior’s death. Those out on the Long Patrol are never marked as dead in their histories and are spoken of in reverence. Rabbitfolk are known to feud with Goblins as they frequently seek to occupy the same type of Warrens and Tunnels.
Gold Hares (Rabbitfolk affiliated with the Faerie court) are rare in Terra and much more common in the Unbound Kingdom. They have much more common colored rabbitlike ears (white, grey, black and brown patterns). These specimens tend to be more like Terran rabbits in certain aspects, while not quite "skittish" they are hyper aware of unfamiliar magic and potential danger. While they lack the characteristic fearless brashness of their Wyching court descended cousins, they have unparalleled speed and extraordinarily sharp senses.
