Orcs

A warrior culture who prizes strength and independence as the highest ideals. While not particularly religious their regard for the deeds of the heroes that came before them borders on fanatical. The focus on their warrior culture can lead many outsiders to falsely assume that Orcs are either stupid or needlessly violent. In truth many Orcs simply prefer being direct even if that means being seen as impolite or boorish. They are seldom clerics since the relationship with a deity is too imprecise and fundamentally imbalanced for many Orcs. Pacts with Devils, Demons and Infernal Powers can occur not because of any inherent evil but rather because the transactional nature of those relationships are far easier for an Orc to understand. Orcs tend to consider practicality first and foremost before morality or other sentimental notions. Orc society does not look down on these pacts by default but an Orc will receive at best ridicule and scorn and at worst exile or even death, for serving a master who demands too much.
Some Orcs take this philosophy even further and will flatly refuse any sort of deal with any being (be it God, Man, or Otherwise) that it doesn’t believe it has a good chance of killing if necessary. Still others see Fiends as challenging beings to hunt and are antagonistic to these beings not out of morality's sake but merely to find terrible and challenging foes to battle.. They can be fearless and will devote themselves to revenge no matter the cost. For some Orcs it is better to die than let a slight go unanswered. They are natural warriors, soldiers, and gladiators. Prideful, fearless when it comes to conflict, and placing great stock in both practicality and honor.
