Hassana

Once a servant created to be a scribe for the gods, tasked with weaving prophecies into the tapestry of Fate and insuring no mortal could stray from the narrative dictated to her by the Old Gods. Hassana ascended to become a deity herself when she one day as if from nowhere, she was struck with the inspiration to weave a narrative of her own accord. Acting on her own behalf for the first time she spun a story of herself abandoning her post and hiding the tapestry away where neither god nor mortal could ever find it. In this tale that she wove (a fable her followers refer to as "The First Story") her last act before hiding the Tapestry of Fate was to use it to reweave the magics that bound her to the God's service into the power to prevent herself from ever being beholden to another master. She did this to insure her eternal freedom, not knowing that the process would cause her to ascend to divinity. Utilizing the newfound power of ascension she absconded to the Longshadow before her rebellion was discovered. A place where even the vigilant gaze of the Gods would struggle to find her.   Hassana with her crime now complete, looked to her brother Hassan to protect her from the wrath of the deities she had abandoned. Asmodeus in particular had a desire to reclaim the errant celestial, believing that once he had her in his grasp he could force or coerce her into revealing where she hid the Tapestry of Fate so that he could claim it for himself. For this task he sent the Tyrant of the Third, Mammon the Argent, Asmodeus's personal bounty hunter and Lord of the Infernal Vaults . When Mammon arrived in the Longshadow Hassana knew she was not yet strong enough to take on such a foe, for she had not yet learned to truly master her new power. So she appealed to her brother Hassan, who had never tasted defeat in battle, and he agreed to protect her unconditionally such was their familial love for one another.   Demonstrating that with her new abilities she was far from helpless, the fledgling Goddess wove for Hassan the blade "Tragedy" from the darkest shades of the Longshadow. When Mammon and Hassan finally confronted one another, blades in hand, the titanic battle would permanently scar the warped landscape. Hassan slew Mammon with Tragedy and Hassana was delighted when the blade (now bonded with her brother) drunk in the infernal Tyrant's essence and allowed Hassan to ascend to true divinity as well. This was the first time Hassan had ever went against the will of the God's and acted according to his own wants and desires. It was also his first time slaying an immortal being. Since then he has refused or ignored all commands and serves no master save himself. It says he still relies greatly on his sister for wisdom and that the brave or foolish may purchase an audience with him provided they can locate his abode within the Longshadow. Hassana is the only known being (mortal or immortal) that can claim to be truly safe from his blade. She has become the Goddess of trickery, independence, revolution, storytellers and weavers (including spiders). She is most commonly worshipped by the Anazaki and is known to favor the clever and freethinkers above all others.
