Grippli / Bellumbufo

Descended from river dwelling Froglike Fey - Known for being lackadaisical and unmotivated. Most Bellumbufo have little desire to do much else than eat insects, drink alcohol, and listen to (or play) music by the shores of a river, lake, or swamp. It is uncommon to find them willingly seek to be adventurers or to do strenuous/dangerous work of any kind (unless there is the promise of excessive celebration and relaxation after) however adventure seems to somehow fall into their laps anyway. Once introduced to it many find the transient, unstructured, and occasionally luxurious lifestyle of adventure a natural fit. In addition their many natural gifts can often put them on par with seasoned warriors despite their aversion to rigorous training. Many recognize the value of having a Bellumbufo companion knowing they have a knack for having a trick up their sleeve when it is needed most. Their ancestors were known to be associated with both the Faerie Court and the Wyching Court.   According to Fey Legends, the Bellumbufo were (or will be) conquerors and lords of a mighty empire, that they then let fall to ruin after they grew bored of the rigors of rulership. Forsaking all their glory without hesitation to return to a simpler way of life. The strange thing about Fey prophecies is that it can be very difficult to determine a timeline. No records of a Bellumbufo empire exist (although ancient fey records of any kind are rare), so some are unsure if the legend refers to an ancient now forgotten past or to a future yet to come.
