Gnomes

Industrious inventors, once from the Fey realm of the Unbound Kingdom. Always craving novel and new experiences; they are among the most well liked and wildly considered to be one of the most useful races. Lives all over Terra have been improved by Gnomish ingenuity and inventions. When they primarily lived in the Unbound Kingdom they were commonly associated with the Faerie Court (with the exception of the Deep Gnomes). Gnomes have a deep connection to the wild magic of the Unbound Kingdom and are especially sensitive to leylines and magical energy. This leads many Gnomes to study the magical arts, and they can become truly powerful Arcanists or learned Magical Researchers capable of pushing the boundaries of what is and isn’t possible. It is said that a Gnome kept in a state of boredom and unable to work on any projects or hobbies will enter a deep depression. If kept in this state of dullness they will cease to eat, wither, and then die.
