Earth President Celestine Halida is assasinated

Celestine Halida, one of the Federations two presidents is assassinated during her flight back from a visit to space Colony L5, also known as Zeon. The ship and all crew, including the president and her staff, are killed. Mars President Yue Woods was not present for the visit and survives. She immediately blames the Alliance of Zeon and their increasingly militant attitude and takes emergency power over the government. The Federation prepares for war.
