Iheumrass river basin

Girded by mountains, this tropical rainforest spans most of Southern Audrita. A river courses through it fthat begins at its northernmost point, then traverses south until it joins the gulf to the west. That is the river Iheumrass (or so translators pronounced it). The sapient species that lives here lacks vocal chords. Most of their language consists of hisses, growls and clicks.

Geography

This river flows through the lowest parts between two mountain ranges, one to the east, the other, west. It flows through rolling hills and huge cliffs.

Fauna & Flora

The river bason is home to thousands of undiscovered and discovered species. Big and small cats, parrots, eagles, bears, insects, rodents, poisonous and nontoxic frogs, migratory dragons and birds, sedentary dragons, pseudodragons, fairy dragons, griffons and hippogriffs in the highest reaches, large reptiles venomous and not, elemental creatures, unintelligent fey beasts, intelligent fey beasts, sapient crocodiles and alligators known as Hagarians, sapient toxic frogs known as Ugrortos, mollusks, mushrooms, snails and slugs, jellyfish-like species which cling like vines to trees while ensnaring insects and small birds, aracnids, sapient rodents, sapient arachnids, land-dwelling lobsters, hundreds of thousands of molds, slimes and oozes living in the compost on the forest floor, dozens of creatures that thrive off of and produce magical energy, luminescent and bioflorescant species, apes, monkeys, tropical foxes, tropical lupine species, giant rodents and snakes, giant mushrooms, thousands of flower-producing vines, hundreds of foul allergons and odor-producing plants and fungi, structurally sound fngi that smaller species use as homes, huge trees that grow to half the height of mountains, huge colonies of termites and ants that produce specific ingredients, smaller hippopotamus and elephant species, and fibrous plants used for ropes.

Natural Resources

Plenty of tropical fruits offer nutrients to animals. Many species that live here grow fat off of the fruit and insects. Many of the insect species have rare and even magical properties that are useful to researchers for both military and pedical purposes. It is also mineral-rich and full of magic.
