In the industrial heart of Sigil’s Guildhall Ward, where the grinding of gears provides the city’s heartbeat, sits Stone & Cog Construction. While other guilds in the ward focus on the ethereal or the bureaucratic, this establishment is dedicated to the cold, hard reality of planar masonry and clockwork engineering.
The Architecture
Stone & Cog isn't just a business; it’s a living advertisement for their services. The building is a massive, windowless cube of reinforced basalt and brass plating, looking more like a fortress than an office. The entire front of the building is a masterpiece of "Cog-Work." Every hour, the massive stone blocks of the exterior shift and rotate on hidden tracks, realigning the entrance to a different side of the street.
Surrounding the building is a chaotic staging area filled with stacks of Planar Marble, crates of Modron-forged bolts, and a massive, dormant iron golem used for lifting heavy lintels. The air inside is thick with pulverized stone dust and the smell of machine oil. The blueprints lining the walls aren't on parchment; they are etched into thin sheets of copper that glow with a faint blue light.

The business is run by an unlikely trio of specialists, each representing a different philosophy of "building."
