Six Crowns

In the shifting, soot-stained streets of Gloomwrought, the Six Crowns stands as a rare bastion of rowdy warmth and amber light. Located in the Plaza District, it is a massive, multi-story structure of dark basalt and reinforced ironwood that seems to hold the encroaching Shadowfell mists at bay through sheer force of personality.

The exterior is imposing, featuring six oversized stone crowns carved into the lintel above the heavy, brass-bound oak doors. Inside, the tavern defies the usual gloom of the city. While most establishments in Gloomwrought are hushed and suspicious, the Six Crowns is a cacophony of clashing steins, roaring laughter, and the crackle of a massive central hearth.

Unlike the minimalist gothic style of the city, the walls are draped with vibrant (if slightly faded) tapestries from the Material Plane, depicting mountain ranges and sunlit forests.

The tavern’s fame rests primarily on its liquid imports. While the Shadowfell typically offers bitter, watery grog or fermented fungus wine, the Six Crowns serves Dwarven Ale—specifically Stoneheart Stout and Ironbeard Bitter. The ale is rumored to be brought in through a stable, secret portal connected to a Dwarven stronghold in the Material Plane, or perhaps smuggled via a pact with the Vistani.

The ale is thick, hearty, and served in chilled stone mugs. It is said that a single pint can make a man forget he hasn’t seen the sun in a decade.

The heart of the Six Crowns is its owner, a Tiefling woman who goes by the virtue name Creativity. She is a striking figure with deep crimson skin, sweeping horns decorated with silver rings, and eyes the color of molten gold.
