Harskel Acopolis

In the opulent yet decaying heights of the Dust Quarter, the Harskel Acropolis stands as a testament to the sheer scale of House Harskel’s wealth. While their rivals in House Carradh favor the defensive rigidity of iron and oak, the Harskels project their power through sheer architectural arrogance and ancient, albeit gloomy, grandeur.

The Acropolis is less a single mansion and more a sprawling complex of tiered plazas and interconnected towers. It is built from veined grey marble and translucent shadow-glass, which glimmers with a sickly, iridescent sheen under the dim light of the Shadowfell.

The building rises in three distinct levels. The lowest is dedicated to the house’s administrative bureaucracy; the middle serves as a luxurious guest house and ballroom; the highest tier—the "Apex"—is the private sanctum of the family. Dozens of statues lining the parapets are rumored to be part of the city’s sentient stone. They move slightly when no one is looking, their stony eyes tracking anyone who hasn't been formally invited by a Harskel.
