Ghost Hall
In the Fettered Ward of Gloomwrought, the Ghost Hall is a structure that lives up to its name with terrifying literalism. While much of the ward is defined by the physical weight of iron and stone, the Ghost Hall feels unnervingly thin—a massive, jagged cathedral of obsidian and translucent shadow-matter that seems to vibrate at a frequency meant to repel the living.
Since the Ghost Talon moved in, the building has become a beacon of Shadar-kai xenophobia. It is no longer just a haunted relic; it is a fortress of "racial purity" where the whispers of the dead are harnessed to further the agenda of Shadar-kai supremacy.
The Ghost Hall doesn't just look cold; it radiates a "Soul-Frost" that ignores physical armor. The Ghost Talon has enchanted the foundations so that the very shadows on the walls mimic the movements of Shadar-kai warriors, even when no one is standing there. The entrance is guarded by a "Ghost-Gate"—a shimmering veil of captured spirits. Shadar-kai can pass through effortlessly. Anyone else feels their life force being "tasted" and judged; non-shadar-kai usually emerge with a level of exhaustion or a temporary graying of the skin.
