This specialized bathhouse is run by Laril Zasskos, a sharp-tongued and sharp-eyed Githzerai. Located three streets toward The Great Bazaar, her establishment specializes in exotic conditions. She began by using her magic to build and contain lava pools for elementals and a few lower-planar things. Since then, she's expanded the selection to include scouring whirlwinds, tubs of rank ooze, the purest of pure water, and bubbling ichors the nature of which she doesn't reveal.
In the structured chaos of the Guildhall Ward, just three streets shy of the sprawling Great Bazaar, sits a building that radiates a shimmering heat distortion. The Flame Pits Bathhouse is not your typical spa for weary travelers; it is a high-concept planar sanitarium designed for those whose "comfort" would kill a mortal and whose anatomy defies common biology.

The exterior is composed of slabs of heat-treated basalt, etched with silver runes that glow a dull orange. Huge brass vents on the roof belch prismatic steam and the occasional sulfurous spark into the Sigil sky.
The Specialized Chambers
- The Magma Cradles: The original attraction. Sunken obsidian pits filled with churning, viscous lava. They are popular with Fire Elementals, Efreet, and certain thrill-seeking Magmin who find the "lukewarm" temperatures of the City of Doors chilling.
- The Scouring Atrium: A vertical chamber where enchanted winds whip through at gale speeds. It is designed for Air Elementals or travelers from Pandemonium who need to "blow off" the clinging grime of the Prime Material Plane.
- The Ooze Vats: Deep tubs filled with a thick, translucent green sludge. It’s remarkably effective at exfoliating scales, though it smells faintly of elderberries and decay.
- The Chamber of Purity: A single, stark-white room containing a fountain of "The Purest Water"—sourced directly from the heart of the Elemental Plane of Water. It is so clean it’s actually corrosive to those with "impure" alignments.
- The Mystery Cisterns: Bubbling, neon-blue and violet ichors that hiss when they touch the air. Laril refuses to name the ingredients, claiming they are a "proprietary planar blend."
