Aposkos

The Temple of Aposkos stands as a melancholy monument to the fading dream of order within the City of Mansions. Once a gleaming cathedral of white marble and polished brass dedicated to Erathis, the Lawbearer, it now looks like a skeleton of civilization being slowly digested by the Shadowfell’s gloom.

Aposkos was designed as a series of concentric circles, representing the "Perfect City." Today, the outermost ring is a crumbling shell of cracked columns and shattered paving stones where shadow-moss grows thick between the gaps. The grand entrance once featured a massive brass gear—the holy symbol of Erathis—that rotated with the rising of the "sun." It is now seized by rust and frozen at a crooked angle, hanging precariously over the main portico.

The Great Hall of Accord, which once echoed with the rhythmic ticking of a hundred celestial clocks, is now silent except for the steady drip of black rainwater through the ceiling. Faded tapestries depicting the founding of great empires hang in tatters, looking more like funeral shrouds than celebrations of progress.
