Session 8: Captured!
General Summary
Vin splortched out of the spellbook just as Nemara was sucked in with a thundering echo. The other three party members promptly got stuck in a web cast by the Faceless One and told to surrender, and spent several rounds struggling around while getting picked off by psychic attacks from a freaky thing.
Lins, psychically terrified, dealt Vin a big sword blow, but managed to get free, then lost her sword as the others continued to struggle, and Sigvurd got free and raged, but his attacks didn't seem to do much. Lins got one Eldritch Blast in before a bunch of Kenku arrived loaded for bear and said to surrender again. Lins suggested they do, and the others agreed.
The Kenku took their weapons, burned away the web from Vin, and she slumped to the ground unconscious, and then clubbed the other two on the head before throwing all three in a cell. Waking up feeling gross, they heard a whisper from the next cell. An illusion wizard called Neleluë whispered to them, and they had a conversation about what their captors might do and that with more than one person, they might conspire to get away.
As the scene faded to black, a spellbook containing one (1) warlock remained somewhere just out of mind...
