Session 30: Secrets of the Understructure
General Summary
The paty spent the rest of the day visiting with other teams. Sapphire Squad congratulated them on their victory, though their leader Korush was a little disappointed that their time in the spotlight was so short.
When night fell, the party used magic to turn Sigvurd, Lins, and Nemara invisible, and they all headed over to Raknian's place.
On the way in, Nemara had noticd a corridor leading the same direction as Raknian's palace. The gang followed the path, and made their way up the steps to a door.
The door led into a wine cellar. Steps led up, presumably to the rest of the house, but Nemara's eye was caught by an oddity in the floor under some wine barrels.
A trapdoor!
They left Sigvurd as a lookout and, after Nemara popped the lock, descended the ladder.
They found a corridor below, lit by everlasting torches. It seemed to end in a dead-end, but Lins revealed the secret door.
They peeked through, and saw a small chamber, lit by a brazier, with an amorphous black-and-green form oozing into a large urn.
The gang decided this place should maybe be explored with the full party, and doubled back.
But on their way back to the coenoby, they heard a guard approaching.
