Session 11: Encounter at Blackwall Keep
General Summary
The party met a group of lizardfolk who passed by their camp on a hunting trip. Vin offered them some hard candy, and in trade they gave them a warning: the Twisted Branch tribe is preparing for war, be careful.
Cautiously, the group continued toward the keep, and found several squadrons of lizardfolk, armed to the teeth and preparing to assault it. Vin disguised herself as a lady lizard and managed to distract them. When they saw through her ruse, Sigvurd covered her retreat, facing down the lizardfolks' commander.
With everyone safely inside, the group learned of Blackwall Keep's dire situation. A surprise attack the day before ended with five soldiers - including Marzena the battlemage - being taken prisoner. The subsequent attack on their fortress had weakened their defenses and decimated their numbers.
The party agreed to travel into the mistmarsh to rescue the lost soldiers, hoping the return of the battlemage could turn the tides for Blackwall Keep as well as the trouble still brewing in Diamond Lake.
