Tiefling

Tieflings are touched by the fiendish planes. They use this connection to the Abyss and the Nine Hells to recruit powerful allies.

Tiefling Traits

Attribute Score Increase. Your Magic score increases by +2 and your Culture score increases by +1.

Hellfire Pact. Once per year, before a battle begins in one of your settlements, you can deal 1 fire damage to each unit in an enemy army.

Sheep’s Clothing. Despite their noticeable appearance, tieflings are adept at infiltrating themselves into the underbellies of a society. You gain proficiency with Sabotage.

Otherworldly. To represent the infernal/fiendish powers that connect you to the Material Plane, tiefling realms begin with a religious building of their choice: chapel, graveyard, or shrine.

Tiefling Units

As relatives or direct inhabitants of the Nine Hells and the Abyss, many tiefling units can shrug off fire damage, which is represented by the Fire Immunity trait.

Imps

Raised as familiars and intensely loyal to their masters, imps are tiny, dangerous distractions.

Twice-Cursed

The only tiefling unit composed of actual tieflings, the twice-cursed have made bargains with those in other realms to support the infernal armies, even at the cost of their lives.

Minotaurs

Tieflings cooperation with minotaurs pays off handsomely as these battle-hardened fighters crash into opposing forces as effectively as mounted units.

Barbed Devils

Once a deeper connection to the Nine Hells has been established through religious devotions, barbed devils will lend their services to a tiefling realm, using their innate ability to create fire as a short range attack.

Cambions

These demons have no mounts, but the terror they inspire exerts a zone of control similar to that of mounted soldiers.

Hellfire Engine

Balor
