Phostwood
Phostwood: The forest on the northern bank of the Yol belongs to Tenh, although this possession is disputed continually by bandits from the bordering states. Certain species of trees found only within this forest have a strange phosphorescent quality when they die and begin to rot, giving the place an eerie air at night. (A branch of phostwood glows sufficiently to light a 5 foot radius area.)
The phosphorescent glow of dying phost trees, unique to this wood, make this a haunting forest at night. The forest is now a ghastly battleground between the forces of Iuz, Tenh, the Pale, and various bandit groups and refugees from Iuz's realm.
This eerie forest seems to be lit with a ghostly radiance at night, due to rotting phosphorescent phost wood. During the Wars, Fists wholly penetrated this wood and pursued Tenhas deep within it. Only a handful of renegades, aided by some Nyrondese, remain within this wood, although the Fists have wididrawn much of dieir strengthi in lieu of bullying Tenh towns and villages now. A ragtag of exiles from the Bandit Kingdoms also ekes out an existence here.
